Terms of Service
Version: 1.0.0 Effective date: 2026-07-27 Trading name: ShortDash Legal name: Mohamed Riyad Khomsi Support: contact@khomsi.com Governing jurisdiction: Kingdom of Morocco Minimum age: 18
1. Agreement
These Terms govern access to and use of ShortDash (the “Service”), including the web dashboard at https://shortdash.khomsi.com and related APIs used to create, review, store, and optionally publish short-form video content.
By creating an account and accepting these Terms, you agree to this document and the Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Beta and invited access
The Service is currently operated as an invited beta. Accounts may require administrator approval before generation features are available. Features, limits, and availability may change. The Service does not guarantee uninterrupted access or particular outcomes.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or ban accounts that violate these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.
Pending, rejected, banned, and deletion-scheduled accounts are restricted as described in product behavior and the Privacy Policy.
4. The Service
ShortDash helps you generate short videos from customer-provided source material (for example comic pages) or faceless workflows. Depending on configuration, the Service may:
- generate scripts, narration/audio, captions/subtitles, images, and rendered videos using automated and AI-assisted pipelines;
- store project metadata and media in Service storage;
- connect to YouTube via OAuth so you can upload or schedule videos you choose to publish;
- apply plan-based usage limits for generation workflows;
- send operational notifications about review windows, deadlines, and related events when enabled.
The Service does not currently provide paid subscription checkout, refunds, renewals, or taxation flows. Any future billing terms will be published separately before charged plans are offered.
5. Your content and rights
You retain rights in source material you upload or provide. You represent that you have all rights needed to use that material with the Service and to publish resulting videos where you choose to publish them.
You are solely responsible for:
- copyright, trademark, publicity, and privacy rights in source material and outputs you publish;
- compliance with YouTube and other platform rules when you connect or publish;
- reviewing generated content before download or publication.
AI-generated scripts, images, audio, captions, and videos may be inaccurate, incomplete, or stylistically imperfect. The Service does not guarantee factual accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
6. License to operate the Service
You grant ShortDash / Mohamed Riyad Khomsi a limited license to process, store, transmute, and transmit your content solely as needed to provide the Service you request (including third-party processors listed in the Privacy Policy).
7. Usage limits
Generation and related features are subject to plan quotas and operational limits. Exceeding limits may block further generation until capacity resets or an administrator adjusts entitlements.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers for authentication, database hosting, AI generation, image generation, storage, email delivery (when enabled), and YouTube publishing. Outages or policy changes at those providers may affect quality or availability.
9. YouTube
Connecting a YouTube channel is optional. Tokens are stored to perform actions you initiate. Videos already published on YouTube are not deleted when you delete your ShortDash account.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or ban accounts for policy violations, security risk, or operational necessity. You may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy and in-product “Your data” controls. Deletion requests lock generation during a cooling-off period and do not delete third-party platform publications.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, EXCEPT WHERE SUCH DISCLAIMERS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ShortDash AND Mohamed Riyad Khomsi ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR LOST-PROFITS DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kingdom of Morocco, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
14. Changes
We may publish updated Terms. Material updates may require re-acceptance before continued use of generation features. Non-material updates may take effect on the stated effective date without forcing re-consent, as described when published.
